• Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Database Engineer to join our team.
• The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with SQL Server, PostgreSQL, ETL processes, database design, and performance optimization.
• This role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining robust database systems that support our SaaS applications in a cloud environment.
• Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain scalable and efficient database systems using SQL Server and PostgreSQL.
• Implement and optimize ETL processes to ensure data integrity and performance.
• Collaborate with software engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders to design data models and architectures that support business requirements.
• Monitor database performance and optimize queries for speed and efficiency.
• Ensure data security and compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
• Develop and maintain documentation for database systems, processes, and procedures.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior database engineers and developers.
• Troubleshoot and resolve database issues in a timely manner.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of database development practices.
• Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in database engineering with SQL Server and PostgreSQL.
• Proven experience with ETL tools and processes.
• Strong understanding of database design principles and best practices.
• Proficiency in SQL and performance tuning of complex queries.
• Expertise in database security, backup and recovery, and high availability configurations.
• Familiarity with AWS or Azure database solutions and services.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
• Level C1 English proficiency.
• Preferred Qualifications: Familiarity with other database systems such as MySQL, Oracle, etc.
• Knowledge of data modeling tools and techniques.
• Experience with database security best practices.
• Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform.
• Certification in database management (e.
